I love narrator heavy games. There’s just something beautiful about it, and it’s such a difficult thing to master. These games obviously have more going for then than just narration, but the narration is one of the core things that makes each of these gaming experiences special and in each case it is essential to the gameplay. Without narration in Stanley, there would be no point playing. Without narration in Portal, you’d have no idea what to do. Without narration in Thomas, there’d be no plot. Narration from great character design is just… gorgeous.
